Liz Lisa 2013 Autumn Collection Strap Pumps Review

My Liz Lisa order finally arrived last Friday. I bought a pair of strap pumps from the 2013 autumn collection.

In the picture above I already removed some of the paper wrapping.

The colour I got is brown, even though I love all the colours, I thought brown would probably be the most versatile and would go with a lot of my outfits. Description on the official Liz Lisa website says that the heels are 9.5cm and the front is elevated by 3cm. The size I got is small which can fit feet of 22-22.5 cm. I am actually a Size 5 (approx 21cm) in Australian shoes, however, by inserting a pair of thin inner soles, these shoes fit me perfectly.

Here are some more pics of the shoes:

Note that the straps are not the traditional straps, they are actually buttons. So you only need to adjust the straps once and just clip on the buttons when you wear them. I have worn these on 2 occasions already and the buttons were firm and did not become loose themselves. Also note the beautiful gold chain on the strap.

The shoes are selling for 9,345 yen (incl. taxes), plus domestic shipping within Japan (525 yen) and international shipping from Tenso (4,180 yen), together I paid 14,050 yen or approx. AUD$158. It's a bit pricey, but to get the same quality of shoes in Australia, you probably pay the same amount if not higher. plus this style of shoes is not easily accessible in Australia.

The inside has the usual Liz Lisa floral patterned prints and its logo. Next to it is the inner sole I use for these shoes, a really cheap but good one I got for 2 dollars from the local supermarket.

The bottom of the shoes have the raised Liz Lisa logo and love heart prints which have anti-slip properties.

Here are my feet with the shoes on ^_^

Overall, the shoes are super cute and comfortable. I am so surprised how comfy and sturdy these shoes are given the heels are quite high (9.5cm -_-II). Usually I can't wear high heel. (Once I wore a pair of pumps from the Famous Shoes, and I just could't walk more than 100 steps. At the end I had to take my shoes off and bought a pair of flip-flops to walk.) The Liz Lisa pumps are light-weight and they have thick and sturdy heels. I can walk, jump and even jog a little (at home just to try out the shoes lol. dun do it on the streets ladies, dangerous!!!) in these shoes with no problems at all. They are so easy to walk in and do not hurt my feet. Of course the inner soles help a lot too to give more support to your feet.

All in all, I really have no complaint about these shoes. Maybe if they can be a little less pricey so I can buy more haha ~~~~

LIZ LISA ~~~~

I am officially a crazy Liz Lisa FAN !~~~~

I initially came across this brand Liz Lisa from Kim Dao's youtube channel. I thought the clothes were cute and very Japanese, however, I didn't fall in love with it at the first sight, maybe I was considering the style was probably a bit too cute for the Aussie fashion and I might not have much chance to wear the clothes to work. But anyhow, I still went on the Liz Lisa online store to check it out and boy, I couldn't stop browsing the website and BUYING ever since.

I found out that the clothes at Liz Lisa were not full-on hime gyaru style. In fact, they are very sweet and trendy, and many of them can be toned down for work - if your workplace does not require formal attire. I also really like its sub-brand Juge Etta. The style is very similar to the Australian brand Forever New and will be very work appropriate.

So overall, I love Liz Lisa and its other brands Juge Etta and Tralala for the following reasons:
  • I have always favoured sweet and cute fashion;
  • I am quite petite and most western brands are a little too big for me even with the smallest size. Despite Liz Lisa only makes one size for their clothing, they all fit perfectly on me, particularly the dresses and jackets;
  • The colour coordination is soft and feminine; the print and patterns are beautiful and again express girliness and young womanhood; and finally the design and cutting of the clothing are quite unique and really compliment petite body shapes (e.g. makes you look taller or the chest and bottom look fuller *^_^* ).
However, there 2 downsides:
  • The clothes at Liz Lisa are quite expensive usually. Average about AUD$70 per piece. However, I was very lucky because they were having huge sales on their 2013 Spring/Summer collections in July and August when I placed my orders.  There was a secret member sale with discount up to 85% off and on another occasion they had sales up to 70% off plus I received a 30% off discount code for members. At the end, the average price per piece plus international shipping worked out to be approx. AUD$30, which is very cheap even in Australia.
  • Liz Lisa online store does not offer international shipping. Therefore you need to use a shipping agent. There are a number of shipping agents that will ship from Japan to other countries, but the one recommended on Liz Lisa's website is Tenso. (I used Tenso and was pleased with its service overall. I may do a review on it later on).
All in all, i am absolutely crazy about Liz Lisa now and have purchased so much lately. I am still waiting for one more order to arrive. I browse their online store daily just to check on the new autumn collection for 2013. I am eyeing on their upcoming autumn/winter collection now, can't wait till they have sales on the new collection!! (that will probably be at the end of this year or early next year /_\ ).
